FORTNITE SEASON 5 – HAVE ANY NEW SKINS LEAKED? WHAT ARE THE LATEST LEAKS?
A few leaks have shown up online in recent weeks, which suggest that Fortnite season 5 may boast a historical theme.
This would mean unlocking new Battle Pass cosmetics based around ancient civilisations, such as the Romans, Greeks and Persians.
One alleged leaked Fortnite season 5 skin that emerged showed a character wearing an Ancient Egyptian garb.
There are also rumours that the Fortnite Season 5 tier 100 reward has been leaked, and will be based on the Flying Dutchman.
These rumours came after eagle-eyed Fortnite fans spotted what they claim is the legendary Flying Dutchman ghost ship on the Battle Royale horizon.
FORTNITE SEASON 5 – WILL THERE BE ANY MAP CHANGES? WHAT COULD THE NEW MAP BE?
It’s rumoured that Fortnite season 5 will see the Battle Royale map get some big changes.
Epic Games have already confirmed that they have been working on more maps for Fortnite.
In a post online answering frequently asked questions, Epic Games responded to the question “will you add more maps?”
And the Fortnite team said: “Yes, but not right away.
“We’ll also be looking into improving our current map, including adding more points of interest.”

This response has been on the FAQ page for some time so maybe the time has finally come for these new Fortnite maps to be released.
It’s been rumoured that Fortnite season 5 will have a time travel theme which will let players go back to bygone eras.
If that’s the case, there could be different Fortnite season 5 maps for different points in history.
Alternatively, there could just be different points of interest on the Fortnite map for different eras.

FORTNITE SEASON 5 – WILL THERE BE ANY SERVER DOWNTIME BEFORE THE NEW BATTLE PASS IS LAUNCHED?
While it hasn’t been announced yet it is extremely likely that servers will go offline ahead of the launch of Fortnite season 5.
Epic Games tend to have server downtime prior to big updates being launched, such as patches that are released every fortnight.
The launch of a new Fortnite season brings far more content than a regular update, so it’s likely that servers will need to go down for maintenance.
With previous Fortnite season crossovers servers have gone down for around three hours before coming back online.
Our bet is that servers will go down at the aforementioned Fortnite season 5 start times.
So prepare for a few hours of downtime on the Fortnite season 5 release date.

FORTNITE SEASON 5 – WHAT DO WE KNOW SO FAR? WHAT IS COMING IN THE NEW BATTLE PASS?
So far, apart from the release date and start time, few specifics are known about Fortnite season 5.
There are plenty of rumours and some of these have seemingly been given more weight thanks to Fortnite season 5 teasers Epic Games have been posting.
Each day this week the official Fortnite Twitter has been sharing Fortnite season 5 teaser artwork.
And the teasers could all be hinting towards the rumours that Fortnite season 5 will have a time travel theme.
The first Fortnite season 5 teaser artwork showed a cat-like mask as well as the cracks that appeared in the sky since the live rocket event launch.
Fans theorised this could either be a Bastet mask, a Kitsune mask or a Kabuki mask.
These are important for different reasons – if it was a Bastet mask it could be hinting at an Ancient Egypt setting for Fortnite season 5.
If it was a Kabuki mask it could be teasing a Samurai theme for Fortnite season 5.
Fortnite season 5 – The rocket launch could have big ramifications for the new Battle Pass
Or, if it was a Kitsune mask it could be hinting towards a time travel theme for Fortnite.
This is because Japanese folk stories tell of the Kitsune’s ability to bend time and space. Kitsune is the Japanese word for fox.
According to a post on Fandom: “Some tales speak of kitsune with even greater powers, able to bend time and space, drive people mad, or take fantastic shapes such as a tree of incredible height or a second moon in the sky.”
If the Fortnite season 5 teaser is depicting a Kistune mask, then it could be a subtle hint that time travel will play a part in the new Battle Pass.
Fortnite season 5 – The first teaser showed either a Kitsune, Kabuki or Bastet mask
The second teaser seemed to confirm that Fortnite season 5 will have a time travel theme.
That teaser showed what was clearly a Viking axe.
So it looks like we could have a Viking-themed point of interest in Fortnite season 5, or Viking skins and cosmetics.
A third and final Fortnite teaser is expected later today and should be posted on the official Fortnite Twitter around 3pm BST.
Fortnite season 5 – The second teaser was hinting at Vikings come in Battle Royale
But what else can Fortnite fans expect?
It’s long been rumoured that Fortnite season 5 could have a Wild West setting.
Rumours were sparked after the original trailer for the Fortnite Playground mode LTM appeared to show a Wild West setting and skins.
And in a roadmap for updates for Save The World on Reddit, Epic Games might have made a telling admission about what’s to come in Fortnite season 5.
Fortnite season 5 – It’s rumoured that the new Battle Royale map could have a Wild West location
Epic Games in the post revealed that Fortnite update 5.0 will be bringing Wild West heroes to Save The World this week.
While it’s only been confirmed for Save The World, this might be a sign that Wild West skins will also be coming to Fortnite Battle Royale on Thursday.
And the Wild West heroes and skins may be getting added to Fortnite season 5 to coincide with the launch of the new Western point of interest.
It’s also been rumoured that Fortnite season 5 could have an Ancient Egypt locale as well.
