Epic Games are updating Fortnite to bring in the highly anticipated Season 5.
The new season will reset all challenges and unlock a new ladder of levels for players to grind through.
New skins, cosmetics and emotes will become available throughout the season, but you can still buy some of the old items in the Fortnite Item Shop.
Each day Epic Games will reset what is available to buy using V-Bucks, so keep your eyes open for your favourite skins in the shop.
What is in the Fortnite Item Shop today?
Skins are everything in Fortnite – players spend hours grinding through challenges and racking up kills all in the name of earning skins and cosmetics.
With Season 5 coming into the game tomorrow, Thursday, July 12, a whole new batch of skins and cosmetics will be entering the game.
So far, fans have collected everything from Adonis statue skins to unicorn heads and superheroes, but Season 5 offers a new theme to explore.
Fortunately, all the skins from Season 4 and before are still available for purchase in the Item Shop.
Using V-Bucks, the in-game currency, players can buy skins and cosmetics they may have missed throughout other seasons.

How to get V-Bucks in Fortnite
V-bucks are an extremely important premium currency in Fortnite, and there are several days ways to get your hands on them.
The easiest way to get V-bucks in Fortnite is to simply login to the game each day.
Every day that you login you’ll receive a daily reward, and each day you’ll have a chance for that daily reward to come out as V-bucks.
On top of logging into the game, you can also complete daily and weekly quests which will grant you different rewards like Survivors, Heroes, Schematics, and also V-Bucks.
With Season 5 coming into the game tomorrow
You’ll often find at least one quest a day that you can complete for V-Bucks, so make sure you’re doing those.
Quests can be found in both the Save the World and the Battle Royale game modes, making it easy to earn V-Bucks in both versions of the game that is currently available.
If grinding isn’t your thing, you can always purchase V-Bucks with real money. This is the much easier method, but prices can quickly skyrocket if you want to collect lots of your favourite items.
• 500 + 100 bonus V-Bucks (plus the Rogue Agent outfit and Catalyst Black Bling backpack) – £3.99/$4.99

V-bucks are an extremely important premium currency in Fortnite
It is worth noting that the Fortnite Season Battle Pass has previously cost 950 V-Bucks – equivalent to £8/$10 – if you are setting some V-Bucks aside for Season 5.
This may change, as Season 5 could be slightly longer than previous seasons – though nothing has been confirmed by Epic Games as of yet.
The Battle Pass is valid for one season, which itself lasts for a few months.
Complete challenges to earn battle stars and progress through each of the Battle Pass’s 100 tiers, or you can pay to unlock each tier for 150 Fortnite V-Bucks.
