players could soon get to play with the previously announced jetpack item for Battle Royale.

The Fortnite jetpack was announced back in February around the time that season 3 of the Battle Pass launched.

Fortnite fans were even teased that the jetpack was “coming soon” when they logged in a few months ago.

However, just ahead of its launch the Fortnite jetpack release was pushed back due to a “last minute design change”.

But now it looks like Fortnite fans could see the jetpack popping up in Battle Royale soon.

Fortnite YouTubers Two Epic Buddies posted on Twitter that the jetpack would be coming soon with more details set to be revealed.

They tweeted: “Jetpack is coming to fortnite this or next week. More details soon.”

Two Epic Buddies have a reliable track record, with the tweeters recently revealing the Fortnite season 4 release date before it was announced.

Back in February Epic Games revealed in a post on the Fortnite Reddit page that the launch of the Jetpack had been delayed.

The Fortnite team said: “This week’s new item is being changed from the Jetpack to the Hunting Rifle.

“We found a last minute design issue with the Jetpack that’s going to delay its launch and we’re working on correcting it.

“The Jetpack will lift off at a later time.

“Meanwhile, you’ll be able to enjoy lots of no-scopes with the new Hunting Rifle item and a new, lucky point of interest on the map.”

While in March more details about what the Fortnite could bring to the table was revealed.

Storm Shield One took a close look at the files found within one Fortnite patch.

And based on that they speculated on a number of things the jetpack could offer Battle Royale fans.

They claimed that the Fortnite jetpack will use fuel, and is not something that can be used indefinitely.

They said it will require refuelling to continue using it – however, the way it gets refuelled is unclear.

Fortnite players may need to pick up a certain item to recharge the jetpack or it may regenerate over time.

Game files found within the Fortnite V.3.1.0 update also suggest that the jetpack will have a hover mode, which presumably will help it use less fuel.

It’s also been claimed that the Fortnite jetpack will be the main item in an upcoming Limited Time Mode called Take To The Skies.

However, Storm Shield One said this is the ONLY game mode that would have jetpacks on the loot tables.

This would mean that jetpacks would only be available in LTMs and not in regular playlists – a move that may disappoint fans.

As always with rumours, it’s best to take them with a pinch of salt until there’s official confirmation.

But the Fortnite jetpack is a confirmed item, so it’s only a matter of time before it makes an appearance.
