Manchester United played out an entertaining 2-2 draw with Arsenal after twice coming from behind.

Here, Samuel Luckhurst gives his verdict on how Jose Mourinho’s men performed.

David de Gea

Dropped a clanger by letting Shkodran Mustafi’s header through his hands. Then saved magnificently from Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang twice. 6

Diogo Dalot

Was vulnerable against Sead Kolasinac on a taxing full Premier League debut. Still managed to execute last-minute interceptions. 6

Chris Smalling

A steady presence in the back three after he missed the Southampton trip with a foot injury. 6

Eric Bailly

Hesitant and haphazard at times on his first appearance in almost two months. Once he stopped trying to bring the ball out of defence he excelled. 7

Marcos Rojo

In his first club appearance since May he was on free-kick duties. It led to Anthony Martial‘s equaliser. Got the crowd going but gifted Alexandre Lacazette a goal. 6

Matteo Darmian

Another accomplished performance at wing-back. Covered well and used his experience. 6

Nemanja Matic

His deep-lying positioning was understandable against Arsenal and he restricted space as Ander Herrera was left to supplement the attack. 5

Ander Herrera

Pressed aggressively and his alert pull-back allowed Martial to level. 6

Jesse Lingard

Constantly threatening off the ball and United are a better attacking side with his urgency through the middle. Equalised for his first United goal of the season. 7

Marcus Rashford

Endeavoured to make things happen but was constantly outnumbered by Arsenal’s vigilant defenders. 6

Anthony Martial

Pounced to score his eighth of the campaign and make it 1-1 so soon after Arsenal led. 7

Subs

Romelu Lukaku

Did little. 5

Marouane Fellaini

Barely made a difference. 4

Paul Pogba

Didn’t influence. 5
